Jamie discovered B'nai David one Shabbat when it started to rain and she walked into the closest shul she could find. She came for the location, but stayed for the brilliant rabbi, the mediocre kiddush, and the warmest, kindest, most loving congregation of people.

After a brief stint on the shul’s greeting committee she volunteered for security duty and is proud of her contributions in that role. On several occasions she heroically saved the day with a lollipop and once she and her security partner Jessica Kurzban discovered an egregious typo on a sign and arranged to have it fixed before anyone knew.

When Rosh Hashana/Yom Kippur 2020 approached, she offered to house a backyard minyan as it was the only way to get extra tickets for non-members in the pandemic. Then everyone just stayed for the next twelve months.

When she is not showing up late for shul or bypassing it entirely, she is Of Counsel at the law firm of Glaser Weil LLP, Director of Legal Affairs for American High, and proud aunt to most of the neighborhood.

Tzvi Wolf has been a BDJ member from birth. While growing up at BDJ, he participated in Rechov Yeladim, Gesher, Teen Minyan, etc. Tzvi has been a member of the Young Professionals Committee since 2015, the Board of Directors since 2017, and the Executive Board since 2018.

He regularly attends daily minyan, and, from time to time, he leads davening and performs gabbai duties for the congregation. Over the pandemic, Tzvi invested a lot of time ensuring our outdoor minyanim ran smoothly and that the attendees felt comfortable and safe. In his spare time, he works as a Software Engineer at Foursquare.
