New to BDJ
New to BDJ?
B’nai David-Judea Congregation is a warm, Modern Orthodox community where we share a deep love for Israel and include all in prayer, Torah study and the sacred work of being a Jew.
We honor and pay special attention to our senior members, devote major efforts and resources to our children, and have created a vibrant youth program that teaches our values. Our Shabbat and holiday programming for children, known as Rechov Yeladim, is more than just babysitting groups. It is a special time for our children to enhance their shul experience, with age-appropriate activities, from circle time and singing for toddlers, to introducing Minyan to our pre-Bar/Bat Mitzvah crowd, all the way to teen Minyan, where our junior high and high school students participate in and lead their own Minyan, preparing them for leadership in later years.
We welcome all who want to connect, engage and join with us at B’nai David-Judea, a community that is defined and driven by our adherence to halacha, our love of God and mitzvot, compassion and justice. We aim to create a safe, inclusive community for all who enter our doors. Whether you are Jewish by birth or by choice, new to halachic observance or born into it, married, single, divorced or widowed, gay or straight, old or young, whatever your level of ability or whatever challenges you face – all are invited to join with us in prayer, Torah study, tikkun olam, support for Israel and the sacred work of being a Jew.
We hope that you will find an inspiring and spiritual home at B’nai David-Judea!
