B'nai David-Judea Gala - FAQs

Date/Time: January 12, 2025.

  • 6:00 pm - Cocktails & Hors D'oeuvres
  • 7:30 pm - Honoree Recognition Ceremony
  • 8:45 pm - Dessert Reception

Location: Museum of Tolerance (9786 W. Pico Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90035)

Gala Attire: Cocktail Attire.  The cocktail hour will be held both indoors and outdoors so please dress accordingly. There will be heaters in the outdoor space.

Parking & Security: Secured, covered parking is free in the Museum of Tolerance parking lot. Carpooling and rideshares are encouraged. Further instructions from the museum are below.

Food: Our gala will be catered by La Gondola (OU hashgacha).  All food will be nut free and there will be meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.  

Tax Deductions: BDJ is a tax exempt organization (ID #95-1916023).  The cost of each ticket is tax deductible, exclusive of $150.  All ads are fully tax deductible.

Tribute Journal

Tributes are screened throughout the evening and a printed book will be given to each honoree.  
Digital Tribute message & artwork must be received by January 1, 2025.

Digital Tribute Ad Specifications: 
Recommended word count and size for each ad type is below. If your submitted ad is larger than the recommended limit, font size and/or the image may be reduced, possibly making it difficult to read.

  • Megilla / Full page: Recommended word count limit of 150 words or image size up to 12.25” (w) x 6.25” (h) - landscape orientation
  • Perek / Half Page: Recommended word count limit of 75 words or image size up to 6” (w) x 6.25” (h) - portrait orientation
  • Pasuk / Quarter Page: Recommended word count limit of 35 words or image size up to 6” (w) x 3” (h) - landscape orientation
  • Mazal Tov / One Sentence: Recommended word count limit of 15 words or image size up to 6” (w) x 2” (h) - landscape orientation

300-1200 dpi | PNG or JPG formats accepted.

Parking and Security Instructions from the Museum of Tolerance:

We are pleased to offer free underground parking.  You enter the parking structure from Pico Boulevard on the East Side of the Museum.  Carpooling and rideshares are encouraged. Please be considerate of our residential neighbors and make every effort to avoid driving through single-family residential neighborhood streets.

We recommend allowing additional time for vehicle security screening.  Everyone entering the Museum will go through a Metal Detector. In order to keep the security line moving, it is recommended not to bring large bags or backpacks.

The following is a list of items that are prohibited on the premises:
•    Weapons: (e.g. guns, firearms, ammunition) - ALL Firearms Prohibited including those with a Concealed Weapons Permit
•    Alcohol and illegal drugs
•    Paints/chemical/flammable substances: (e.g. pepper spray)
•    Cutting/striking tools or tool parts (e.g. knives, scissors)
•    Drones and photo/videography equipment
•    Pets or other animals (Service Dogs are allowed)
