BDJ Reopening Information: Minyanim and Youth Groups
- Minyan Registration - No minyan registration will be required going forward.
- Vaccinated - Fully Vaccinated individuals will be able to join us without masks for shul and for kiddush (yes, kiddush is back!).
- Unvaccinated - Unvaccinated individuals (including kids under 12, and please see the “Rechov Yeladim” below) must continue to wear a mask at all times while in the building. We welcome you to join us in the social hall after davening to socialize and, if you would like, to pick up a to-go container to enjoy kiddush once you leave.
- Daily Minyan – Tuesday will be the last day to join davening via Zoom. Starting Wednesday morning, our davening will be all in-person unless there is a special urgent request (for example for a yahrzeit) from one of our members. People celebrating lifecycle events or observing yahrzeits are again welcome and invited to offer “kibbud” (treats and breakfast foods) at the end of minyan. The vaccination rules above will apply.
For Rechov Yeladim, we have important updates as well:
- Registration - No registration will be required going forward.
- Masks & Social Distancing - Masks will still be required at all times for children under 12, except for those under 2 or with special needs. The only other exception to this will be at snack/kiddush time where we will make sure to distance the kids when they are eating. Otherwise, there will no longer be social distancing for the kids. If you do not want your child to eat indoors, please make sure a counselor is informed when you drop off your child. Counselors will continue to wear masks.
- Kiddush - After shul ends (approx. 11:00 am), kiddush will be brought to your children to allow parents to enjoy kiddush downstairs in the social hall. If you choose this option, please make sure to pick up your child by 11:30 am (or a half hour after shul ends).
We thank each of you in advance for your cooperation with these new procedures. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at chevra@bnaidavid.com.
