קימי קפלן מלמד במחלקה לתולדות ישראל ויהדות זמננו ע"ש ישראל וגולדה קושיצקי, באוניברסיטת בר-אילן. תחום העניין המחקרי שלו הוא היסטוריה יהודית דתית במאות ה-19 וה-20. 

Prof. Kimmy Caplan teaches in the Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Judaism at Bar-Ilan University. His main area of focus is Jewish religious history try 19th and 20th century.
