Rechov Yeladim is Hebrew for Kids Street... a special
place just for kids!
It's the cool, fun place for kids to hang out, play, learn,
meet and make new friends, and have a great time (while parents
can daven with kavannah).
Rechov Yeladim is located upstairs in the shul, and is open
every Shabbat and Yom Tov. All groups start at 8:45 am, and
end at the conclusion of services in the shul, at which time
the children 4 years and older are brought downstairs to the shul.
There are nine groups based on age. Each group has a dedicated
room with age appropriate toys and activities directed by counselors.
Some of the activities include:
Davening
Parasha
Games
Group Activities
Stories
Circle Time
Free Play
Snack Time
Special programs for special events
There is also a system of Mitzvah tickets, which earn prizes that are
awarded on the first Shabbat of each month.

Message from the
Director Cheryl Ibgui
Welcome
to Rechov Yeladim! Thank you so much for your support and
trust. Without you, we would not be able to have the best
program that we have. We have dedicated counselors who work
hard at making sure everyone has fun.
We are not a babysitting service, but an extension of the
shul, family, friends and schools. Children not only have
fun here, but learn and grow, develop and flourish, while
you get to concentrate and maximize your davening experience.
I encourage parents to visit, read a story, and participate.
Also, I welcome your thoughts, comments, and suggestions.
Truly yours,
Cheryl Ibgui
About Cheryl,
As far back as I can remember, I have always enjoyed working with children. My first experience with children was working as a camp counselor during the summer months. As I matured, I began to take a more active leadership role in early childhood education. I became involved in leading youth groups and special programs for children.
For the past thirteen years I have been teaching in an early childhood department at a day school. For the first two years I was an assistant teacher and then became the principal teacher in the classroom. Beginning next year, I will assist in the programming in the transition classes as well as leading one. I have worked with children ranging in ages from two to six.
Five years ago I started my own business teaching children in a private setting. I specialized in teaching the customs of the jewish tradition to children who attend secular private schools. I specifically gear my program according to the age of the child.
