There are many ways to get involved with our active and passionate Chesed committee. Please see below and contact our chairs if you’re moved to action.
VISITING THE ELDERLY AND HOME-BOUND
Help brighten the day of one of our elderly or home-bound members, many of whom do not have family locally. We arrange for weekly visits and/or phone calls to our cherished seniors who are always happy to see a kind face and hear a friendly voice. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn the mitzvah of honoring their elders, or visiting the sick.

MEALS AND SERVICES FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED
When life happens, good or bad, we can all use some extra help. BDJ helps coordinate meals, rides – you name it! – during major life events, be it a birth, illness, a death, or anything else that might leave you incapacitated for awhile.
If you need any kind of help, or if you’d like to be included on the list of people we ask to make meals, give rides, and more, please contact Stacy Kent at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
