with Rav Yosef Kanefsky in the Bet Midrash, beginning after Sukkot

This year we will be studying sugyot from the first two chapters of Masechet Ta’anit. These chapters explore the way our Sages understood the function of prayer, God’s role in the unfolding of nature, and the relationship between our religious behavior and the provision of rain and sustenance.

Every shiur begins with guided chavruta study, giving participants the opportunity to strengthen and build their independent Gemara learning skills. Prior experience with Gemara study will be most beneficial.
