Thursday Mornings 11:00am–12:00pm, starting October 14
with Rav Yosef Kanefsky in the Bet Midrash
Join the fun as we resume our study of the book of Melachim (Kings). We concluded last year with Shlomo HaMelech (King Solomon) having reached the zenith of his royal career. This year’s study will take us to the tragedy of Shlomo’s decline and the subsequent splitting of Israel into two kingdoms. Soon thereafter, we’ll encounter the epic narratives of the prophet Eliyahu and his struggles with and against King Ahav and himself. All are welcome! Though we frequently utilize a careful reading of Hebrew terms, you can use an English text as well. |
