ABOUT B'NAI DAVID-JUDEA

At Bnai David Judea (BDJ) we have created an Orthodox Jewish community like no other.  We are a group of people with very different Jewish backgrounds who are drawn together by the joyous, nonjudgmental and supportive environment that pervades our shul.  We love our tradition while recognizing the value of innovation.  We are deeply committed to deepening the bonds of understanding and love among the different movements within the Jewish community.  We involve ourselves in projects to benefit the entire community, all of God’s children.

We love and cherish our senior members and have created a full children’s program that teaches our values and communicates our love.  We are a community of Jews that is bound together by mutual affection and a mutual commitment to live lives illuminated by the teachings of Torah. 

As you scan the different activities, programs and classes at BDJ, you will see how we bring our spiritual commitments to life.  The Tikkun Olam program is consciously designed to benefit wide and varied segments of the Los Angeles community, regardless of religious affiliation. 

Shirat Chana offers women the opportunity to lead tefilah and read from the Torah, all within the framework of halacha.  Through Machar and Klal Yisrael Learning we lay the foundation for the more unified Jewish community of tomorrow.  Rechov Yeladim, Gesher, and BDJuniors, make up one of the finest youth programs you’ll find anywhere.
